SeaSalt Green Tea was formerly called Kur Tea and is a slimming tea. The tea has many loyal followers who use it for weight loss as well as regular tea.
The main ingredient in the tea is Pu Ehr tea, which is a type of green tea where the dried tea leaves have undergone a fermentation process. The tea is organic and grown in the Yunnan province of China, where it has been a central part of the home pharmacy for thousands of years.
In China, it has been used in particular for the following:
- Ensure a well-functioning digestive system
- Maintain beautiful and healthy skin
- Providing energy
- Nourish overall health
SeaSalt Green Tea has a beautiful golden (slightly yellow-green) colour and an aromatic, delicate and mild flavour.
How to use it
SeaSalt Green Tea should be steeped in hot water for 3-5 minutes.
As with all other green teas, do not pour boiling water over the tea leaves, but instead allow the water to cool to around 80°C before pouring it over the leaves. This is the best way to preserve the many antioxidants that green tea is known to contain.
Unlike many other types of tea, SeaSalt Green Tea does not become bitter or rancid even if steeped for a long time. It can also be drunk hot or cold.
Dosage
The manufacturer recommends the following dosage: 1 tea leaf for 1 cup of tea every other day for up to 14 days. After this, a break of approximately 14 days is recommended before starting a new course of tea.
Always remember to drink plenty of water when using SeaSalt Green Tea.
Ingredients
SeaSalt Green Tea contains the following ingredients:
Ingredients | Content | Latin denomination |
Organic green tea (Pu Ehr) | 84,5% | Camillia sinesis L. Kuntze |
Hawthorn | 8% | Crataegus Oxycantha |
Ginseng | 5% | Panax Ginseng C.A.Mayer |
Sennes | 2,5% | Cassia angustifolia Vahl |
Side effects
SeaSalt Green Tea does not cause any actual side effects, but it does have a slight laxative effect. This is because the tea contains senna (leaves and legumes from plants in the Cassia genus), which causes the large intestine to move and thus has a laxative effect.
You should therefore not drink the tea if you consume other products containing senna. Caution should also be exercised if you are taking other laxatives or medicines with a laxative effect.
The most common side effects of laxative teas are headaches and other signs of dehydration. If you experience any of these side effects, you should therefore reduce or stop using the tea altogether.
Precautions
Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children.
As mentioned above, SeaSalt Green Tea should also not be used if you are using laxatives or other products containing senna. If you are hypersensitive to senna or any of the tea's other ingredients, you should of course also not drink the tea.
If you are taking prescription medication, you should ensure that the ingredients in SeaSalt Green Tea do not affect the effect of the medication.
Remember to drink plenty of water when using SeaSalt Green Tea.
